American singer-songwriter Maggie Rogers debuts new track “So Sick Of Dreaming” from her forthcoming album Don’t Forget Me, set to release April 12. The widely appreciated, Grammy Award-nominated performer also released the title track single for the project last month, leaving fans eager to listen to the rest of the record.

“So Sick Of Dreaming” is a fresh yet classic track by the alternative indie musician. Rogers concocts tracks that are often inspired by her environment and loved ones. As mentioned in her newsletter, this release is a story inspired by a friend of a friend—faced with a hiccup in her relationship. “I wanted to make an album to belt at full volume alone in your car, a trusted friend who could ride shotgun and be there when you needed her,” explains Rogers.

Throughout the track, listeners can easily pick up Rogers’ cheeky yet grand voice as she belts, “Oh, 'cause I'm, so sick of dreamin.” The release draws on recognizing the truth of what lies before you, rather than dreaming of a different reality.

The vulnerable punch of “So Sick Of Dreaming” is exactly what Rogers does best, and we’re gushing to listen to the rest of Don’t Forget Me next month. Rogers is set to hit the road, kicking off part one of her tour on May 23 in San Diego. Don’t miss out!
